♥ A visit to the Boulders Mouraki should absolutely not be missed. This mysterious circular stone are an attraction for many tourists so if you want to avoid the crowds you may or wake up early or late in the afternoon. (Free)

♥ A less tourist attraction than the Mouraki Boulders but equally special are the Dino Eggs. That you encounter on the way to Dunedin. Let op! between the eggs shelter seals and sea lions who can feel intimidated by your presence.  (Free)

♥ Get into the train and do the Taieri Gorge Railway, it leaves from Dunedin and goes up to Pukerangi. A unique travel trip 4 hour round trip through New Zealand's spectacular scenery. And what makes this trip so special is that many of these places can only be reached by train.  (€€)
